Launch Terminal (/Applications/Utilities) and enter this command :
defaults write -g NSNavPanelExpandedStateForSaveMode -bool TRUE

I have a Motorola V365 by Cingular that wasn’t “supported” by iSync. I googled around a bit and found Lowendmac.com who had a solution. It mainly involves changing the contents of the MetaClasses.plist file withing iSync.app and copy and pasting a related phone and transposing the model number of your phone.
